Singled Out: Steven Keene's This World Is Your World
From “antiMusic,” June 17, 2026
In antiMusic’s “Singled Out” series, Steven Keene tells the story behind his acoustic version of “This World Is Your World,” his reworking of Woody Guthrie’s 1940 classic “This Land Is Your Land,” recorded with the blessing of the Guthrie estate and released to mark America’s 250th anniversary.
Keene describes the original as an early Americana protest song whose message of shared belonging feels urgent again in a divided world, and thanks SiriusXM for supporting the song.
“I believe music has a unique power to bring people together, encourage empathy, and remind us of what connects us rather than what separates us.” – Steven Keene
